During our spring break on March 27, we got together and started our official script for our movie opening. As of now, this is just a sample and all we had on that date for the script.

 Today, My group and I were discussing how we will be filming our movie opening. After discussing, my group member Chloe said that she has access to a camera we can use to film for our opening. Also, after discussing further our plans for the opening, we have decided that we are going to find background people for it and are making our decision on who they will be. The camera model we are using is the Canon EOS 5D.

 Today, My group and I scheduled our first day we are going to film on March 30th, 2025. This  is is the earliest time we are all available at night time to film our video.

 Today my group and I created the plot for our movie opening. We decided to to do a slasher/stalker film, where the 2 main characters names are Dexter and Hannah and the killer is unnamed and wears a mask. In this movie opening, the 2 main characters are driving and need to pull over for a flat tire. When they pull over, they split up to find help and to fix the tire. Hannah goes in to the store near by to find help while Dexter looks in the trunk for anything to help and tries to call for help but finds there is no service. After Hannah comes back, she find Dexter dead behind the car and rushes in to the drivers seat and speeds off. Once she is somewhere she feels safe she takes a breath and is about to call 911, when she sees a shadow appearing over her and finds that she is not safe after all.

       This is a mood board that represents the setting, colors, and representation of the typical horror theme.

While I was watching A Quiet Place(2018), I noticed that the producer never fully shows the monsters and keeps them off screen adding suspense and also build-up to when we see the full monster in all its might at the end of the movie. Also, this movie uses great sound design to add fear/jump scares, they do this by bringing us to Regan's perspective as she is deaf, this adds to the horror by us not being able to hear the surrounding area and what is going on in the back until the monster appears on screen.
